When you register for NowBall, we collect information you provide directly to us, including your first name, last name, date of birth, and sports preferences. We do not collect your email address in your public profile. We also automatically collect certain information when you use the app, including: • Device identifiers (for push notifications and advertising) • Usage data and app behavior (screens visited, features used, session duration) • Game activity (games created, joined, and attended) • Advertising ID (Android Ad ID / Apple IDFA) for analytics and ad personalization
We use the information we collect to: • Provide, maintain, and improve the NowBall app • Match you with games in your preferred cities • Send you notifications about new games and game updates • Display your sports statistics and reliability score to other players • Maintain a safe and trustworthy community • Analyze app usage and performance via Firebase Analytics • Show relevant advertisements within the app • Measure ad performance and optimize campaigns
We use Firebase Analytics (by Google) to understand how users interact with NowBall. This includes data such as which screens are visited, how often the app is used, and general usage patterns. This data is collected automatically and helps us improve the app experience. Firebase Analytics may use your Advertising ID as part of its tracking. You can limit ad tracking through your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking; Android: Settings > Google > Ads).
NowBall may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks, including Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network. These networks may use your Advertising ID and usage data to show you personalized ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized advertising: • iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track" • Android: Settings > Google > Ads → enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization" Opting out does not remove ads from the app, but the ads shown will be less relevant to you.
Your public profile — including your first name, last name, sports, cities, rating, and game statistics — is visible to other registered users of the app. We may share aggregated or anonymized data with commercial partners (such as sports brands and marketing companies) to help them reach sports audiences. This data does not personally identify you. If you provide explicit consent, we may share your data with selected commercial partners for targeted marketing purposes. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. We share data with Firebase (Google) as our backend infrastructure provider, solely for the purpose of operating the service.
With your permission, we send push notifications to inform you of new games in your area, game changes, and other relevant activity. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the app (Settings > Delete Account) or by contacting us. Upon request, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
NowBall is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has registered, please contact us immediately at nowball.app@gmail.com and we will delete the account.
Under the Israeli Privacy Protection Law (1981) and its regulations, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of NowBall after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
